Baked fish with lemon and garlic sauce

When we were children, my Mom cooked fish for us, especially for my father with that simple way by adding garlic and lemon in it . This recipe with baked fish has an incredible flavor, grilled with mesquite charcoal.

Oil, garlic and lemon are so often found in a sauce or pickle in Lebanese cuisine. And this also applies to fish. The concept is simple here. Using a mortar and pestle or kitchen machine, squeeze some cloves of garlic with olive oil, salt and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Fill a whole fish with this sauce, roll with aluminum foil and bowl (or grill). And if you have little time, fill the fish with pieces of garlic and lemon, roll it with foil and bake.

We have found that fish in the cod family is best placed for this recipe. Our favorite is the Red Snapper.  Now to the recipe ...

A recipe with baked fish that is easy to do with a baked snapper with a marinade of garlic and lemon. Tasty and healthy

• 2 whole or equivalent cod snappers (4 lbs total)
• 2 lemons in juice
• Cut 1 lemon into 8 pieces
• 8 tablespoons of olive oil
• 2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
• 1 teaspoon of salt

1. Clean the fish and rinse it with cold water, make deep cuts from ½ to 1 inch (depending on the thickness of the fish) and sprinkle with ½ teaspoon in and out of salt coffee.
2. Squeeze garlic, 6 tablespoons of olive oil and ½ teaspoon of salt with a mortar, blender or small kitchen machine. If you use a mortar, first put on garlic with salt and slowly add oil while stirring continuously. Once the oil is fully added, slowly add the lemon juice and shake / whip.
3. Place the fish in a pre-filled aluminum foil to prevent sticking to the fish and the cups with the resulting garlic sauce, add lemon to the fish, roll and close the leaf and put it in the oven at 400 degrees F for 30-35 minutes.

Notes
It also tastes delicious when cooked on the grill with mesquite charcoal.
